You should always know what your skin type is so you can get the right skin care procedure for that type. Using skin products made for oily complexions makes little sense if you suffer from dry skin. If you don’t know your skin type, consult a skin care professional.
Don’t use bar soap to wash your face with. You should never use bar soap on your face, only from the neck down. Using this product will dry out the skin on your face, and can clog pores, which will lead to irritation and breakouts. Be sure to use cleansers or soap that are designed solely for your face.
If you have greasy skin, choose products specifically made for this condition; they will keep the oil away and help you to look better overall. Remove excess oil gently with a daily toner. Using a moisturizer that is specially formulated to fight oils will also do wonders. Avoid anything with a high amount of sodium if you are concerned about the health of your skin. Too much sodium will make your eyes look puffy and your face swollen. Instead, choose foods that are low in sodium, and consider switching to a diet soda brand that does not contain sodium.
